REAL ESTATE EXPERIENCE

Deborah, also known as Debbie has been selling real estate on Lopez Island since 1982. She earned her Brokers License in 1987. She has been with Windermere on Lopez since the office, formerly known as "Friendly Isle Realtors," came into the Windermere family.

EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS

Deborah has received her Associates of Liberal Arts Degree from Skagit Valley Community College. Over the many years of real estate continuing education courses, the areas that Debbie has most enjoyed have been those dealing with professional ethics, as well as real estate and contract law. Debbie has served on the San Juan Association of Realtors board as treasurer for 2 years, followed by 2 years as the association president.

INTERESTS

Debbie has many interests outside of work, including but not limited to hiking and enjoying nature in general, basketball, coaching and playing, drama, community theater, church outreach projects and most importantly her 2 sons Jason, who is in college, and Alex who attends school here on Lopez. In fact if you want to know more about the school here, Debbie is probably the person to ask. Debbie makes a point to take a moment every day to appreciate this beautiful place she works and lives.

PERSONAL

Debbie moved to Lopez during her freshman year in high school. Aside from leaving to continue her education, Debbie has been an "island girl" since her arrival. Sometimes there is a great deal of inconvenience involved in island living, but Debbie's philosophy is "If it was easy, everybody would do it." She contemplates moving to the mainland sometimes for the coaching opportunities available and to finish her undergraduate work, but when asked about that possibility the reply is always the same. "Lopez is my home. Wherever I am, whenever I'm asked, Lopez will always be home." Lopez is an exceptionally special place for anyone to call home.
